# 0 - Are We Aligned Yet - Michael R

LLM's first took off in 2023 shortly after which the first jailbreaks were published. This talk looks into AI safety and how LLM security has progressed over the last few years

Michael R is a penetration tester with over a decade of hands-on experience breaking into systems that were “definitely secure.” A generalist at heart, he’s seen security fail in just about every way imaginable—across networks, applications, cloud environments, and everything in between—and has the war stories to go with it.
