Secular Haven: Longmont Book Club, For Small Creatures Such As We, Sasha Sagan
Details
Hello friends! Join us for a discussion of, For Small Creatures Such as We: Rituals for Finding Meaning in Our Unlikely World, by Sasha Sagan. This beautiful book explores how to create secular rituals for life's major events, drawing on science and the natural world to find meaning. I’ve timed this book discussion just ahead of the holiday season to help us all find deeper meaning in the traditions we build and choose. The book, which is part memoir and part guidebook, blends Sagan's personal experiences as the daughter of Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan with anthropological and historical insights to offer a new way to celebrate life's milestones without a religious framework.
I will bring coffee, cream, and sugar, feel free to being your own snack or drink of choice. I look forward to seeing all of you!
