Secular Haven: Stargazing with Standley Lake Stargazing

Hello Secular Haven family! Join us for a unique and magical opportunity to get out of the city to stargaze. Secular Haven has been invited by Standley Stargazing to join them for this event. Mike from Secular Haven and Aric from Standley Stargazing will be hosting this event.

A bit of what you can expect from Aric… Toward the southern and western horizons there is essentially no light pollution and the skies are incredibly dark, we just lose a little of the eastern sky as the light from Denver washes out that region. Plenty of things to see, including the Milky Way and a host of deep-sky gems as the southern sky will be one of the richest regions of the sky over the summer.

This is a family friendly event. Registration will be required, please see below for links and state park costs. Please comment if you’d like to arrange a travel buddy for the drive up the mountains.

This is a public event. There will be several volunteers with telescopes there and plenty of dark sky observing.
