>Lastly, about RSVPing:
Events with limited capacity/RSVPs (9/6/2025)
If you have repeatedly signed up for events/cancelled without ever attending any, I am using my discretion, especially with limited capacity at dinner events, to audit the RSVP list and adjust accordingly. For a table of 10, if 2 people don't show up, I don't take it lightly and neither does the establishment. Therefore, I am reducing the risk of frivolity in the situation.
"Say what you mean, mean what you say"
If you have no interest in an event, you don't have to RSVP "No", as it's a given.
However, absolutely NO NO-SHOWS to events that you RSVP "Yes" to. We are all adults here, so let's be responsible. Therefore, it is a mandatory group request that you change your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance of an event, if you can't attend. If events involve tickets that you purchased, you adhere to the venue's policies for refund. It is understood that sometimes things surface at the last moment and can't be avoided and those cases will be exceptions. Please keep in mind that the reason we are all here is to socialize with each other. Members want to meet other members and that's the idea of this.
Dining Out At Different Establishments (9/6/2025)
Following a recent incident, we are moving to a one-check/CASH only policy for ALL dinner events. As such, as individuals, you only pay for what YOU had * 1.3% (for tax and tip). There seems to be confusion over what this means. We do not SPLIT any checks. Therefore, it shouldn't be a big deal, so please be prepared accordingly!
Enjoy and be safe!
