### 🎶Why Does the Music of Our Youth Always Sound Better

### A nostalgic, feel-good evening exploring the songs that shaped our lives.

Ever wondered why the songs from your youth still sound better than anything on the radio today? Join songwriter Steve White for a relaxed, musical evening exploring what makes those classic tunes so memorable — from clever songwriting to the way our brains connect music and emotion. Expect a few singalong moments, plenty of laughs, and a touch of nostalgia shared with fellow music lovers.

🕒 Duration: 50–60 minutes
🎵 Style: Interactive talk with music, laughter, and reflection
🌍 Who it’s for: Anyone who loves great songs — from Beatles fans to Spotify explorers!

This fun, interactive session digs into why our favourite tunes from our teens and twenties stay with us for life — and why “today’s music” doesn’t always hit the same way.

We’ll kick things off with a singalong to a golden oldie, then explore what makes certain songs timeless — from clever songwriting tricks and catchy “earworms” to the psychology of memory and emotion. Steve will also look at how AI is starting to shape the future of music and ask: will any of today’s hits still matter in 50 years?

Expect a relaxed, lively session full of nostalgia, stories, and insights from someone who’s been writing, playing, and loving music for decades.
