She Talks Data Minneapolis: Meeting the Moment

This month, She Talks Data is shifting gears to meet the moment. Instead of a traditional meetup or featured speaker, we’re creating space for something more urgent—and more human.

This gathering will be a community brainstorm and working session, focused on how we can collectively respond to the harm ICE is causing in our communities right now. No panels. No presentations. Just women coming together to combine our heads, hearts, and resources with real intention.

We’ll hold space for Renée Good and Alex Pretti, and we’ll acknowledge—out loud—the crisis we're are navigating. This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being present, listening deeply, and identifying tangible ways to support, protect, and show up for one another and our neighbors.

We also want to be eyes-wide-open that the ability to feel safe enough to attend an event right now is itself a form of white privilege. Naming that matters.

This evening is for reflection, connection, and coordinated action—grounded in care, solidarity, and a shared commitment to doing something, even when the moment feels overwhelming.
Come as you are. Bring your concern, your ideas, your frustration, your compassion. We’ll take it from there—together.
