Detroit Dequindre Cut and Eastern Market Mural urban hike, plus lunch at VegFest
Dequindre Cut Parking Lot, Wilkins St, Detroit, MI, USJoin us for around 4 miles of urban hiking as we admire many of the murals around Eastern Market and along the paved Dequindre Cut path, followed by lunch at VegFest.
NOTE: VegFest will be happening at Eastern Market from 10am - 4pm. For anyone not interested in the hike part, you could attend VegFest on your own. Look for our Sierra Club Crossroads booth where we will be selling t-shirts and sharing info about our group.
VegFest is a huge annual festival featuring around 100 vendors selling all types of delicious vegan foods and earth-friendly products.
NOTE: dogs are not allowed at VegFest.Our hike will start at the Dequindre Cut Parking lot at the corner of Wilkins and Orleans. Click the map attached to this meetup to get exact directions.
Please make sure to give yourself plenty of time to arrive early for a 10AM departure. It will be difficult to find us if you are late.This event will be co-hosted by the Southeast Michigan Sierra Club group (SEMG).
