This is one of my favorite places for a easy hike with so much to see. From their website "Elkhorn Slough is a magical place to visit. Otters and seals play in the estuary. Native plants and wildflowers pepper the valleys and hills overlooking the water. Hundreds of bird species pass through each year as they migrate up and down the Pacific Flyway."
Meet us at the picnic tables. There are lots of side trails that lead back to the parking lot so it's up to you how far you want to go.
They do not allow dogs unfortunately. If you all want in the future we will look for puppy friendly trails and have special outings.
Copied from their website; "The Visitor Center at the Elkhorn Slough Reserve is fully handicap-accessible. There are accessible restrooms as well as an accessible Research and Education Lab. There is a short paved trail to an accessible overlook area with a scope, but the rest of the trails are composed of uneven terrain not suitable for most wheelchairs, those with limited mobility, and strollers. The Reserve also has an off-road wheelchair for loan."
They have water fountains and restrooms available.
I think that is all the info. Let me know if you have any questions.
