Alex Glaser: Contract Data Scientist / Engineer at AIGTECH Ltd
Talk Title: Data Science during COVID times
As we near the fifth anniversary of the first lockdown, I want to share some of my experiences working on COVID-related projects within the Infectious Disease Modelling team at the UK Health Security Agency.
Having joined during the early stages of the vaccine rollout, I'll take you through the models we developed, the insights we gained, and the key findings published along the way.

Mark Austin: Head of Business Intelligence at Queen Victoria NHS Trust
Talk Title: QVH Use of R for NHSE Data Processing and Planning Predictions
Mark will be discussing how Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust use R to rapidly process the NHS England monthly statistics publications to enable rapid benchmarking of performance. Plus the use of R to assist in planning / forecasting.

Now, refreshments! Drinks and pizza will be served from 6pm. Talks will commence at 6:30pm/6:45pm and the event will conclude at 8:30pm.
