What we’re about
Welcome to Singing Bowls of the Rockies!
My name is Gigi Turner, and as a certified Sound Bowl Immersion practitioner, I am honored to share the benefits of sound therapy with you. Our goal is to help you achieve a deeply restorative relaxation experience through the beautiful resonant waves, frequencies, and vibrations of sound.
My passion for sound baths began about 8 years ago when I met Greg Haner from Sound Bath Immersion. Greg was my teacher and mentor, and still is today. With him, I became a certified sound bath practitioner with Sound Bowl Immersion USA. Since then, I have performed over 1500 individual and group sound baths, and am proud to say Singing Bowls of the Rockies is the largest sound bath community in Colorado Springs.
During our sound baths, I draw upon my background in psychology and blend these skills with the power of sound to create a unique and precious experience. My aim for these gatherings is to support you in the process of accessing your inner power while promoting relaxation and self-discovery. We all possess innate healing abilities, and by balancing our lives and choices with the natural forces of the universe, we can become the person we aspire to be.
Sound baths have been found to have several positive effects on the mind and body. Studies have shown that sound meditation can reduce stress and cortisol levels, as well as improve mood and decrease tension. It can also improve the quality of sleep and decrease pain, especially in those with chronic pain. Additionally, sound meditation has been found to increase focus in some individuals. These findings suggest that sound baths can be a useful tool for improving overall health and well-being. (Citations: 1. Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine, 2. Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, 3. International Journal of Behavioral Medicine, 4. Journal of Pain Management and Therapy, 5. Journal of Cognitive Enhancement)
As we continue to navigate the challenges of modern life, the power of sound to heal and restore balance is more important than ever. By embracing the practice of sound baths and allowing the vibrations of the singing bowls to work their magic, we can enhance our overall well-being and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where people are "bathed" in sound waves produced by various overtone-emitting instruments, including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and more. During a sound bath, people lie down and listen to resonant sounds, allowing their brain waves to slow and shift from a more active state to a more relaxed or dreamlike state. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, explore self-inquiry and self-discovery, and help people let go of stress, anxiety, or other worries. A sound bath is typically a way of managing anxiety, soothing the nervous system, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body.WHAT TO BRING:
