St Pete SKATE! - BACKWARDS ROUTE - See details for parking/meetup location!
Details
Hey y'all! We held a poll in our whatsapp and are mixing things up this week!
We will be doing a BACKWARDS Tuesday St. Pete. SKATE! 🙃 We will be starting at a the St. Pete. Skate park and then doing our route in reverse! ⏪ So bring your helmets 🪖 and crash pads, if you got em, and get ready to get out of your comfort zone a bit! (Or just hang out till we move on, lol)
The skate park has areas that are good for beginner to expert level. It's also a great place to hang out and see some amazing skaters doing crazy tricks, so get your cameras out! 📸
🛣️Here's the route I was thinking (subject to change!):
- Skate Park for 45m, then back to our cars to put away helmets and things
- Take the overpass to the Trop and do the Fergs tunnel in reverse OR alternatively, we head to 16th st., passing the basketball courts/playground area and loop over to the pinellas trail
- Take central down a ways, go up two blocks near Mirror lake, then skate 2nd Ave. directly to the pier, taking a water break at the end
- Skating from the pier, head north to the tennis courts for another water break
- Shoot south, do a catch-up stop at the pier, then head to USF
- Take the back way back to the skate park
