Beauty Horror Movie Day: 'The Ugly Stepsister' (2025) and 'The Substance' (2024)

Come join us for a day of horror films that explore themes of societal expectations, beauty, and identity. A body horror extravaganza!

We'll be watching the following movies:

• The Ugly Stepsister (2025) | Plot: Elvira dreams of Prince Julian and is willing to go to great and grotesque lengths to conform to the kingdom's ideals of beauty.
• The Substance (2024) | Plot: A fading celebrity (played by Demi Moore) is fired by her producer due to her age and uses a black market drug that creates a younger version of herself with unexpected side effects.
