Ecstatic Dance
Details
Come dance it out with us!
If you've ever wondered how movement can help you let everything go, this is for you.
Ecstatic Dance is a free-form, sober dance space where you can drop out of your head and into your body. There are no steps to follow, no right or wrong moves... just music, movement, and a very welcoming community.
You don’t need to be a “dancer.” This is about reconnecting with your body, releasing stress, and letting your movement become a kind of meditation. It’s especially lovely for anyone exploring mind-body connection, somatic healing, or simply wanting to feel more alive and present.
The DJ will be Ombiya Ra. According to the Facebook event page, she "has been traveling the world for over six years, sharing transformative dance journeys to bring others into their soul movement. Blending deep bass, sacred world rhythms, and a touch of hip-hop, she weaves sound into ceremony, a fusion of ancient and modern pulse. Each set becomes a portal of remembrance, guiding dancers through desire, devotion, and divine embodiment."

What to bring:

A few agreements that keep the space safe and free:
- Sober space: No alcohol or substances.
- Consent culture: Honor your own boundaries and others’. If you want to dance with someone, make eye contact and wait for a clear yes.
- No talking on the dance floor: Let movement be your language.
- No phones or cameras: This is a space to unplug and be fully present.
These simple guidelines help everyone relax, feel safe, and drop more deeply into the experience.
