The Anticipation - The Excitement! Don’t miss out!!!!
Details
Hi Folks!
We wholeheartedly guarantee this is a “Not To Be Missed” Meetup!
WHEN & WHERE:
Thursday 27 Nov, 6–8pm
The Building Block
Then, after 8pm - a “Shhh, it’s not here yet” celebration (or more accurately, perhaps, an informed, balanced continuation of the discussion "elsewhere" :) Read on for details..
WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Technology discussions often revolve around “Environments” – the different types, which is better etc. But there’s one that rules them all – that being this spinning rock we affectionately call Planet Earth, or "Our Home". This meetup will
- Focus on Technology applied to make our environment a better place to be
- Hear from new startup Restore Blue and established market player MyHEAT
- Feast on a slice of “Angel Investment” strategy
- Have a big announcement regarding the future pathway(s?) of the Sligo Tech Meetup!
- Create zee maximal fun. (Isn’t there something else to celebrate coming up soon?)
Oh ok so… ;) - There will also be festive cheer brought to the evening by our friends in The White Hag Brewing Company (along with a new and improved selection of food to ring in the celebration season!)
The social aspect of the evening will not cease at 8pm – we will forge an alliance to bravely go and test the defences of some of the mightiest bastions of Sligo’s drinking establishments! We will move to Lillies bar (just around the corner) where our friends in the White Hag will have a reserved table, a special price on White Hag beer and a chance in a competition to win a €1000 party. What’s not to love there.

Rumour has it we have a few extra heavy hitters joining the panel…but we’ll leave that suspense hanging…
And yes - this is the first time James and his sister Martina will team up on something other than a competitive Scrabble match. Could be magic; could be war. Only one way to find out!!
Please RSVP as usual so we get the food order right.
Huge thanks to our sponsors: Sligo LEO, Sligo CoCo, DD3.AI, and our fun sponsors, The White Hag Brewing Co.
P.S. A meetup trip to the White Hag’s new “Barrel House” taproom is planned for 2026 - more soon!
