MLK Holiday Morning Downtown Saunter
Details
Let's take a holiday walk in our beautiful downtown. We'll meet outside Achilles Coffee near the intersection of Imperial Avenue and Park Boulevard. (See photo above.) According to the city website, it's a parking enforcement holiday and parking meters are free for the day. Plus, there are two trolley stops nearby, The 12th and Imperial Transit Center for the Blue and Orange lines, and 12th and Imperial Bayside for the Green line.
Expect to walk about 3 miles for about an hour. We'll cross the pedestrian bridge from Park to the harbor and proceed down the harborside walk until we decide to turn around, maybe at Seaport Village, the Star of India, Little Italy, wherever.
Optional coffee and chat at Achilles Coffee after.
