Snowdrifters dinner meeting

Hello,
Welcome to the https://www.SnowDrifters.org/ ski club monthly dinner meeting! We are under a larger group, Bay Area Snow Sports Council, which also has travel events. https://www.skibac.org/

We talk about winter activities, outdoor activities and travel. I have been to 20 countries so far. My last international trip was 2 weeks to India (Delhi, Agra and Indore) in December. Bring a tablet, show some of your travel pictures. Some members will miss this Feb meeting for a trip to Japan.

Many have an Icon pass, because of the winter cabin location in the Tahoe-Donner area. Some to have an Epic pass. We can also talk about carpooling or other options.

Optionally, there is a subset of club members who are also involved in 5 more Slalom and Giant Slalom races for skiers and snowboarders. We race against teams from other cities in the bay area or the Tahoe Area.

* If you want to try going through Slalom or Giant Slalom race gates, there is race training at the Tahoe-Donner resort for anyone 21 or older, most Thursday and Friday mornings through March. I, Greg M, am the race director for Snowdrifters.
* Next race is Slalom at Sugar Bowl on Sunday, Feb 8. Any racer or club member gets heavily discounted tickets early on race day (for example, about $82 for Alpine).
* You can start as a blue run skier, and have an equal opportunity to earn points for the team as an advanced ski racer, because you compete against others with a similar handicap group.
