Join us for public opening day of brand new theater here in Brisbane

Construction on QPAC’s Glasshouse Theatre has now finished, and it is opening the doors to the public for a free Community Day on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
From 9am to 4:30pm, Community Day visitors are invited to wander through the Glasshouse Theatre‘s foyers and auditorium, revealing stories behind this architectural and technical marvel even before the first performance is held. Visitors will be treated to pop-up performances, with Glasshouse Theatre’s two bars open for refreshments.

The opening of Glasshouse Theatre makes QPAC the largest performing arts centre under one roof in Australia, with the new venue paving the way for QPAC to increase its visitation by an extra 300,000 people to 1.6 million visitors per year.
