V-O-Cal stands for Volunteers for Outdoor California, it has been organizing camping volunteering for state/county parks across bay area for the last 20 years or so. It organizes large scale outdoor volunteering project, doing trail repair, construction and habitat restoration, between 60 ~ 500 volunteers strong each time. Each project usually offers two nights free camping (Fri & Sat), one and half days volunteering (Sat. & half a day Sun), with free food. So you got a long time to work with and bond with your fellow volunteers at the camp.
