๐Ÿ—“ DATE: Saturday, 24 May 2025.
โฐ MEETING TIME: 10.05am.
๐ŸšŠ MEETING POINT: Woy Woy station (start & finish) on top of the stairs after tap on/off.
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Please use Google maps, not Meetup maps!

๐Ÿฅพ DISTANCE: 15.5km circuit.
๐Ÿฅพ GRADE: Moderate/slightly HARD with 345m elevation gain on a steady pace, not snail pace!
๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ Reasonable fitness and experienced bushwalkers recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and downs hills, steep climbs, creek crossings, rock scramblings and bush bashing at few overgrown sections. Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery in parts.

๐Ÿ“ธ WHAT TO EXPECT:
๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธUpon arrival at Woy Woy station, we will start our exciting adventure walking on local roads before heading towards the bushland and management trails up to Mt Wondabyne, the highest point in Brisbane Water NP for a photo stop with a great view.
๐ŸšถWe will continue our adventure to Woy Woy Waterfall Pool, a picturesque (secret) spot in the bush.
๐Ÿง—๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ The walk down to the pool is on a steep and narrow paths with rocks scrambling.
๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ The pool is a man-made at the base of the waterfall that was built either during the construction of the railway tunnel in the early 1880s or when the Woy Woy Basalt Quarry was running in the 1930s.
๐ŸšถAfter spending time and a swim (optional) at the pool, we will head down on a rough bush track with some bushbashing finding our way to the main road back to Woy Woy station.

โŽ NO smoking of any kind on the walk including during photo stops and lunch break.
โŽ NO pets including service dogs are permitted on my events. You may join pet friendly walking group instead.

๐ŸŽ’WHAT TO BRING ๐ŸŽ’
๐Ÿ‘• Comfortable outfit for the weather preferably hiking gear. Jeans or cotton t-shirt are not be suitable for this walk.
๐Ÿฅพ Waterproof hiking boots or good grip walking shoes highly recommended.
๐Ÿ’ฆ At least 1.8L of WATER (no refills), Hydralyte or sports energy drinks, snacks and packed LUNCH.
โ›‘ Basic First Aid kit, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent ie. Bushman or Aerogard and hand sanitiser.
๐Ÿงฅ A raincoat or poncho just in case of wet weather.
