🎄**Python Meetup @ Sofia** идва със специално предколедно издание през декември!

Съвсем в началото на месеца, сме подготвили една много интересна тема, а след нея ще се почерпим подобаващо предколедно. А щом идва Коледа, значи ще има и подаръци! 🎁✨

**💭 За какво ще си говорим:**
☁️ IaaS облаците като **AWS, Azure, GCP** и техните аналози вдигнаха огромно тегло от раменете на системните администратори, като направиха създаването на compute ресурси лесно и бързо колкото изпълнението на няколко команди в терминала 💻⚡, оставяйки в миналото дните, когато записвахме инсталационни дискове 💿и флашки и препускахме през инсталатора на операционната система.

❓В този нов розов свят остава обаче един нерешен въпрос: **какво правим, когато не можем да използваме виртуални машини заради изисквания на софтуера, който използваме?** 🤔

🛠️ На помощ ни се притичват софтуери, които автоматизират използването на хардуерни машини, предоставяйки ни почти сходен начин на взаимодействие като този за виртуални машини.

📚Тази лекция ще разгледа **основните подходи при решаването на автоматизираното управление на хардуерни машини**, ще покаже редица **софтуерни продукти с отворен код** и ще направи кратка демонстрация на **OpenStack Ironic**.🧪

**🎙️ За лектора:**
Калоян Котларски е системен администратор в **StorPool Storage**. Още от дете е запален по компютърните технологии💻, в частност сървъри и мрежи 🌐. Вълнува се от всякаква компютърна инфраструктура, най-вече от виртуализация, OpenStack и Kubernetes.
В StorPool се занимава с поддръжка на инфраструктурата на компанията, както и с инфраструктурна автоматизация за целите на QA ⚙️🤖. В свободното си време се занимава с музика 🎶и тонрежисура.

💭 **What we’ll talk about**
☁️ IaaS clouds like **AWS, Azure, GCP** and their counterparts have lifted a huge burden off the shoulders of system administrators by making provisioning compute resources as simple as a few commands in the terminal, leaving in the past the days when we used to burn installation disks 💿and thumbdrives, sprinting through the installer menus.

❓In this brave new world, however, one problem remains unsolved: **what do we do when we cannot use virtual machines because of the requirements of the software we’re using.**

🛠️ Enter bare-metal provisioning software, enabling the same workflow we’re already familiar with using virtual machines.

📚 This talk will describe the few approaches to automated provisioning of **bare-metal machines**, it will showcase a few **applicable open-source products** and it will do a short demonstration of **OpenStack Ironic**.

**🎙️ About the speaker**
Kaloyan Kotlarski is a system administrator at StorPool Storage. Since childhood💻, he's been fascinated by computer technology, especially servers and computer networking🌐. While passionate about all computer infrastructure, his greatest interests lie in virtualization, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
At StorPool, Kaloyan is responsible for maintaining the company's infrastructure and assisting with infrastructure automation for QA purposes. In his free time, he enjoys playing music 🎶 and sound engineering.
