POSTPONED: Sorry the storm warning for Storm Claudia doesn't end until 6am Saturday and the forecast is not good for the rest of the day. Some bits of the path can get slippery and it won't be enjoyable if still windy and rainy so I will postpone to a later date. A shame, but safety and enjoyment comes first!
A slightly longer one with a decent climb up to the peak hence 6/10, but well worth it for the stunning views at the top on a clear day! Also the chance to grab a pint in the pub afterwards if you have time to hang around. The first half to Crook Peak is the more challenging stretch, with the second half generally a really nice combination of downhill and flat walking towards the base of the hills and along the disused "Strawberry" railway line.
I recce'd the walk on 08/11 and all was great, but I think it will be more like 3 hrs if we take it steady with some stops at the peak etc., so shifting earlier to 9am.
