### Online Photography Workshop Series
Photography is more than knowing how to use a camera. Great photos come from learning to see the world differently. In this four-session online workshop, I will guide you through creative exercises and visual challenges designed to strengthen how you see as a photographer. This workshop is about slowing down, paying attention and building the skills to make stronger and more thoughtful images.
This is not a technical class about camera settings. It is about the art of observation and the creative process of making photographs with meaning and intention. We will explore how to see light, how to simplify a scene and how to build compelling images that tell a story. The techniques you learn will help you create better photographs no matter what subjects you like to photograph.
Each session you will receive a creative assignment designed to challenge how you see the world around you. We will meet live on Zoom where I will share examples from my own photography, discuss the weekly topic and offer feedback on your images.
This workshop is about building long-term habits that will help you see more creatively every day. It is perfect for photographers of all levels who want to move beyond snapshots and create photographs with depth, emotion and impact.

- Lightroom Masking online workshopLink visible for attendees
This is a paid workshop, please don't RSVP until you have registered at https://www.lorenphotos.com/product/lightroom-masking/
Until the latest versions of Lightroom, the best way to make adjustments to local areas of your photos was by using Photoshop. Now you can do many of the same things in Lightroom and not struggle through the complexity of Photoshop.
In this two hour online workshop I’ll show you how to bring out the best in your photos by making changes to a portion of your photo rather than the whole image. Whether it is accentuating the color in a sky or making the whites of eyes brighter, most photos can be improved with tweaks here and there. And you do that by creating masks, which can be tricky. But by masking off areas of your photos you can bring out details or diminish things you don’t want to highlight. The power of toning photos is the creative use of masks.
You’ll not only learn how to use the masking features, we’ll discuss when and which tools are best to use in different situations. You’ll learn how to select subjects or backgrounds, people, parts of people, objects, the sky and much more. We’ll also work with the linear gradient, radial gradient and the brush tools. You’ll also learn how to select specific colors with the Color Range tool and how to use the Luminance Range tool.
I’ll be demonstrating in the latest version of Lightroom Classic and you’ll be able to ask questions during the seminar. A Zoom link will be provided after you register for the workshop.
