Welcome to the South Manchester Meetup Group!
I created this group because I noticed a lack of meetup options in South Manchester and wanted to start more events in the area! Events will be diverse and inclusive, ranging from Drinks, coffee mornings, walks and other fun activities.
We value your input, so feel free to suggest any ideas for future meetups.

Join us every two weeks for an evening of a fun filled evening at The Garden, Chorlton (formerly The Font). We play everything from casual party games to the latest in cutting edge strategy. It's an evening guaranteed to stimulate and entertain!
We don't charge for this event and there's no need to book, just come along on the night. If you're new to board games, people are always happy to explain the rules and get you up to speed. If you can't make it on time, games start throughout the evening. Turn up when it's good for you and we'll fit you in somewhere!
Typically, 20-50 attend with 5-10 games in progress at any time. Don't pay too much attention to how many sign up here. This event is advertised on Facebook and multiple meetup groups. Many regulars don't sign up at all!

Foodie Friday Social at This Godless Place, Stockport
Join us for an evening of tasty food, great company, and lively conversation at our next social event! We'll meet at the unique and welcoming This Godless Place in Stockport Old Town at 6:30pm for pre-event drinks and mingling.
At 7:15pm, we'll head together to the bustling Foodie Friday event at Stockport Market Place, where you can enjoy delicious street food selections spanning various global cuisines, carefully crafted cocktails, and a fantastic atmosphere in the heart of the Old Town visitmanchester.com.
Around 9:00pm, we'll return to This Godless Place to round off the evening, relax, and chat about our favourite foodie finds.
Schedule:
- 6:30pm: Gather at This Godless Place (Stockport Old Town)
- 7:15pm: Head off as a group to Foodie Friday (Stockport Market Place)
- 9:00pm: Return to This Godless Place for post-food drinks & socializing
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet up with like-minded individuals, connect with friends both old and new, and explore the lively food and drink culture of Stockport!
