Boot Hill Variation

Details

This hike will explore the area north of Mount Gorrie in Mundaring State Forest and visit two world famous sights - Boot Hill and the Bubble Tree. The terrain is mostly fairly gentle (nothing particularly steep) but total vertical will still be in the vicinity of 400 metres.

Note the route will be 100% off track and there will be some sections of bush bashing (including scratchy sections). Wear long pants or gaiters if you want to avoid scratching your legs too much.

Photo is from this hike in June 2023.

RSVPs, Late Withdrawals and "No Shows"

If you RSVP to attend this hike and find for some reason that you are unable to make it, please make sure you change your RSVP to "Not Going" as soon as possible. This is particularly important if there is a Wait List. People on the Wait List are automatically added to the hike when participants drop out (if there is a spot available), so a late withdrawal means people on the Wait List may not be given sufficient notice that they are now on the hike.

If something urgent and unforeseen comes up the day before the hike or the morning of the hike and you are not going to make it, please change your RSVP to "Not Going" and also message me (John R) that you are not attending BEFORE the start of the hike. It is unfair on everyone else attending if we are waiting at the meet point for you and you do not show up.

"No Shows" or repeated late withdrawals may result in you being removed from the group.
