Melt the ICE Resistance hat workshop in Glassell Park
Details
We will gather around the table to knit the Melt the ICE Hat. You’ll learn to knit in the round, shape with simple decreases, and finish with fun tassels.
Take time to sit together, share conversation, and enjoy the quiet joy of making. You won’t finish the hat in two hours, but you’ll leave with all the skills you need to complete it at home.
The pattern costs $5, with 100% of proceeds donated to immigrant aid organizations supporting those impacted by immigration enforcement, via Needle & Skein in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. Read about melt the ice hat
Knitters can bring their own yarn and needles or purchase them at workshop workshop. If you bring your own, you’ll need approximately 200 yards of red yarn in fingering, DK, or Worsted. Needle size: US 4, US 6, or US 8 (circular or DPNs)
Best suited for beginners who have knitted a simple scarf before, as well as any knitter who wants to make the hat in good company 🌈
