Let's get together again for coffee, walks, meals, cinema, theatre, shows and have fun - all suggestions welcome. We're a friendly bunch!
Please make sure you have a clear photo of your face on your profile, so we can recognise you when you come to an event. I'm afraid that we don't accept requests for membership if you don't have a clear profile photo of yourself.
The cost of membership is £5 each year (from December 2024 to December 2025) . This is to cover the cost of the group being on the Meetup Group website.
All members will be asked to pay £5 in December 2024 for the following year.

There is a small car park at the pub and limited 4 hour parking on the road. Car sharing advised where possible.

There are limited on street 4 hour parking spaces on Kingsgate Road which can get busy. Car sharing advised where possible.
The walk is approximately 3.25 miles and will include riverside paths, and 150 steps in St Giles Hill Park up to the viewpoint over the city.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring plenty of water especially if it's hot weather.
End time is fairly loose, we may decide to stop for a cup of tea at the Cathedral cafe.
Optional lunch at 12.30 at The Queen Inn pub in Kingsgate Street, will list a separate event for this.

This is an amazing all afternoon charity garden party at the Concorde Club (so do please pray for good weather!!).
It starts at 12.00 and finishes around 5.30pm.
There are three amazing acts - a vocal harmony group, The Fifinellas will be there https://www.thefifinellas.com/ as well as the Lindy Hop Club Dancers and the headline act is the brilliant Swing Unlimited Big Band (SUBB).

The ticket price will increase near the date of the event so don't leave it too late.

There is plenty of free parking at the Concorde Club - and local bus routes also pass nearby on the road in front of the Club.Please don't forget to put your vehicle registration on the pad at Reception when you arrive as the Club has had to introduce parking controls recently.
Last year, the bar in the marquee was open and burgers and hot dogs were available from stalls next to the marquee.
