Belgrave Lantern Festival

Details

I've never been to this before, and I don't much like crowds, but could probably endure the crowd for a bit while the parade happens and I try some street food; if it's cold I'd probably want to find somewhere warm to go after a while. In any case, I want to check this out. (If anyone knows much about it feel free to fill me in in the comments...) Apparently there's a wizard named Baba Desi...

I imagine parking is annoying so I'll have to find out more about this and figure out where to meet... Assuming I'll be parking miles away... And it will be crowded... Have to meet somewhere well known, and not right in the middle of things... On the edge somewhere?

Belgrave Lantern Parade

"It's the biggest night of the year for Babajis Belgrave and you're invited! Rug up warm, enjoy a Babajis street food feast and watch the magical lantern parade pass. Led by Belgrave's own wizard, Baba Desi, hundreds of handmade intricate lanterns line the streets - expect to see elephants, echidnas, the Dr Who tardis, even Bluey might make an appearance.

Stop by Babajis for a hot chai and your favourite Babajis curry or enjoy some grilled corn from the Babajis festival street food barbecue.

This is the best night of the year in the Dandenong Ranges.
