TLDR:
Would anyone like to work on their creative projects in a public space somewhere for a couple of hours in the South East?
There are various meetup groups around who do:
- writing
- crafts (crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, etc.)
- sketching/watercolor/pastels
- colouring in
- vibe coding/app and games dev, and
- origami
events among other things.
The problem is that they require me to get on a train or a bus for an hour or more to go to the CBD or the northern suburbs in order to go to them!
It would be nice to do it here somewhere...
However, we have people living in zones in this group:
- Kingston (Patterson Lakes, Chelsea, Mordialloc etc.)
- Cranbourne/Pakenham Line (Oakleigh, Narre Warren, etc.)
- Frankston area
- Bayside (St Kilda/Brighton/Sandringham etc.)
- North East Outliers (Glen Waverley, Mitcham, etc.)
- Outer East (Boronia/Ferntree Gully/Belgrave etc.)
Obviously my preference is Kingston and the Cranbourne/Pakenham line, as they are < or ~20 minutes away for me.
I'm willing to go a bit further, of course, to accomodate people if that's what is needed.
Anyways, all that aside, I can hire a space somewhere in a library (probably $30ish an hour for NFP groups) or, as the weather is getting nicer, we can go to a rotunda or public seating outside somewhere. I only know of the ones in Kingston, though, as I go there more often than anywhere else.

Would anyone like to work on their creative projects in a public space somewhere for a couple of hours in the South East? If so, does anyone have suggestions as to where this could take place?
