Please join us for a special Vocal Workshop with Raina Welch, vocal instructor at Settlement School - TONIGHT ONLY!!

Note there is no charge for this event - just the usual OPTIONAL donation.

The Settlement School in South Philadelphia is hosting the South Philly Acoustic Jam for the school year. We meet on Thursday evenings from 6.30 pm to 9 pm in Field Hall on the first floor. We supply extensive songbooks of classic rock, blues, soul, folk music, and microphones for vocalists, and chairs and stands.

Our last day at Settlement School is Thursday June 12. We will resume at Settlement on Thursday September 4.

There is free and available parking on the building grounds.

We are not an Open Mic Group:
The Jam is not an open mic performance - everyone plays and anyone can sing. There is no judgment, all skill levels are welcome, we're here just for the fun of playing with others.

We offer a friendly, no-judgment musical culture focused on building skills. We support ourselves and other participants in ways that promote group musicianship. This unique environment fosters musical growth and development and is a great way for adult learners to appreciate and understand music.

We have an acoustic sound and welcome acoustic 6 or 12 string guitar, uke, electric bass, harmonica, percussion instruments, electric bass, keyboards, and fiddle are all welcome. Is your voice your instrument? Come and sing. Play, play and sing, or sing. You are welcome here.
