📍 Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy north - general area behind the Rotunda on the grass. Melbourne.

🌧️Weather : Because this event is in the park - If the weather is raining and unlikely to let up I will have to cancel the event. Please check the event listing before attending to make sure it's still going ahead. Melbourne weather is a tad unpredictable!

About the session - Summer Dusk Release.
Unwind • Soften • Exhale.
Surrender into an hour of deeply guided Yoga Nidra and a flowing dusk-inspired visual meditation in the park.
This class is designed as a warm-to-cool transition. A gentle landing at the end of a hot summer day, helping your whole system settle.

This practise allows you to:
• Release the residual heat and tension held from the day.
• Soothe and balance your nervous system as evening begins.
• Ground into your breath, your senses, and the cooling earth beneath you.
• Feel the mind loosen and open as the sky shifts toward dusk.

We’ll begin with Yoga Nidra, a fully guided lying-down practice where the body is invited into deep rest. Often called yogic sleep, it leads you into that soft threshold between waking and dreaming. There is nothing to perform, hold, or achieve - you simply lie comfortably and allow my voice to guide your awareness through the body, breath, and subtle sensations until the whole system unwinds.

From there, we’ll move into a visual meditation shaped by the colours and sensations of summer dusk - the warm air softening, the light turning from gold to blue, the sense of the day dissolving around you.
Through gentle imagery of fading heat, spacious sky, and cooling evening air, the mind begins to soften, the inner landscape broadens, and the whole body drops into a clear, quiet sense of release.

You’ll leave feeling grounded, spacious, and restored, as though the day has finally exhaled from your body.

No prior experience is needed, just come as you are. Everyone is welcome! The meditation session is continuously guided by my voice and if you have not tried meditation before - this is a great way to start.

What to bring?

  • A yoga mat to lie on and a blanket. (If you have forgotten to bring one still come, I will have some extra mats in case 😊)
  • A pillow or eye covering if you like extra comfort.
  • Warm layers, please wear comfortable clothing (it can get very nippy in the park when lying still. Please rug up 🌿)

Attending:

  • If you haven’t RSVP’d and want to come last minute, you’re always welcome to join, the more the merrier! I will have a few mats on hand just in case. 😊

Starting set up:
We’ll start the meditation session at 6pm on Wednesday night, 3/12.
Coming a little early helps you settle, get comfortable, and land in the space before we begin.

Running late:
Please know, if you’re running late, there’s no stress at all. Just join quietly whenever you arrive. You won’t be disrupting anything and your presence is welcome at any point during the session. 😊
