Ready for a night of clever tactics, shifting alliances, and just the right amount of brain burn? Join us for an evening dedicated to mid-weight strategy board games—games that strike a balance between accessibility and depth.

We’ll be featuring titles like Cosmic Encounter (where deals and betrayals decide the fate of the galaxy) and Wiz-War (a chaotic wizard duel full of spells, traps, and unexpected twists). These kinds of games are perfect if you enjoy negotiation, tactical choices, and plenty of table banter.

What to Expect:

• Learn-as-you-play: No experience required, we’ll teach the rules!
• A friendly, welcoming atmosphere for both seasoned gamers and newcomers.
• Plenty of laughter, strategy, and maybe a little good-natured scheming.

Bring your curiosity, your best poker face, and maybe a favorite snack or drink to share. All games will be provided, but feel free to bring along a mid-weight strategy favorite if you’d like to see it on the table.

Come out, make new friends, and dive into worlds of wizards, aliens, and strategy!

We get together every other Sunday, from Noon until 6PM or there about.
(if we are still gaming at 6PM we will complete the game we are playing)

This is a private residence event and will take place in my home here in South Venice. I will send direct messages to attendees as they sign up to attend with an exact address at that time.

This list of my current games will give the group an idea of the type of games I enjoy and what we can be playing. We do not have to limit our play to these type of games and bringing some of your favorites to play is highly encouraged, however, I am not interested in playing RPG's, party games, cooperative games, or simple minimal thinking games. I would like to focus this meetup group on fun strategy games; length of games are of no concern. If they play in an hour, fine. If they play in 6 hours, fine. There shall be no time restraints in the interest of good gaming.

Of course I have played many other games that I also enjoy but do not own, so bringing your games as well for play time is highly encouraged.

I currently have 2 areas that we use for gaming. The game room area can accommodate 4-6 players. My dining area can easily accommodate up to 6 players. So we can get 2 different games going as necessary.

Please bring snacks to share if you would like and please bring your own beverages of choice. Alcohol beverages in moderation are allowed.
No drugs, no pets, no children, please.

A final side note: I have 11 different games that I have designed and would love to find a core group of players to play these games on a regular basis during or outside of this group. Should any attendees have an interest, we can look at my games and can set up other times to play it as well.

My prototype designed games are: Sessions, Phenomenon Phase 1 & 2, Full Moon Haunting - Reality, Skull Island, The Graveyard, Catacombs, The Desert, Poltergeists Lairs, Poltergeists Fury.

I am also interested in having a gaming day during the week on Wednesdays from Noon until 4-5:00pm if there is any interest from others. Let me know if this would be a good option for you.

This is not an event towards distracting peoples away from the primary event that has been happening for I very much enjoy going but when it is full, it is full! I’m creating the ability for people to be able to have an alternative when it is full by having this event for people to sign up to participate and know that others are interested in showing up to do so. Dark Side has an area specifically designated for people to be able to play games and they have games that can be used. This event will be posted for people to sign up once the primary is full towards being able to communicate with each other and know that others are interested and plan on showing up.
