Eryri/Snowdonia - Carnedd Llewelyn via Pen yr Helgi Du and Carnedd Dafydd
Details
The plan is to reach Carnedd Llewelyn, the 2nd highest peak in Wales, standing at 1064 meters.
Starting in the layby on the A5 at 9am, grid reference SH 6682 6052, https://maps.app.goo.gl/vVvtt17Ex8v3G3jT8
I plan to head up Pen yr Heldi Du until we reach Carnedd Llewelyn, where we will return along the Cambrian Way via Carnedd Dafydd to Pont Pen-y-benglog and around Llyn Ogwen to where we started.
The route is 17 km with 1174 meters of ascent and will take about 7 hours plus any breaks.
As always, the route can & likely will be adjusted on the day according to the conditions and the group, with the aim of still reaching Carnedd Llewelyn.
I'm happy to car share with anyone on route from Stafford.
