What we’re about
STL Childfree is a local social club for women who have never had children. However, child-bashing is not our agenda. This is a welcoming group which enjoys movies, wineries, dining out, cultural events and festivals, happy hours, concerts, and coffee talk. So if you do not have - and have never had - kids (i.e., no empty nesters/adult children), and would enjoy socializing with like-minded women, come and join us!
For certain dining events, there is a $1 reservation hold requirement so organizers can ensure accurate headcount. The $1 is used as a bonus tip to the server, who will be navigating a larger group with individual checks.
If you have suggestions for events you would like us to consider, please fill out our suggestion form. Please join our Facebook group, as well. Also, please don't be afraid to join the waitlist for an event! Some of our events fill up quickly as soon as they are posted, but due to the number of members and the fluidity of people's schedules, there is a very good chance that you will be added to the event closer to the event date. Please watch the event list and remove yourself from the RSVP or waitlist as soon as you know you will be unable to attend so that others have a chance to attend and so that you are not marked as a no-show.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE
Due to the increasing cost of the Meetup platform, we are implementing a $3 annual membership fee. Established members (including organizers) have until December 15, 2025 to pay this annual membership fee. New members can enjoy a 3 month free trial before submitting their membership fee. Please Venmo the group owner (Amanda Allen-Adkins) this fee. If you do not have Venmo, please reach out for other alternatives.
NO-SHOW AND NON-PARTICIPATION POLICY
In order to keep the group current and active, anyone who is a no-show (does not change their RSVP from going to not going if they are unable to attend) three times will be suspended for six months (after which they may rejoin). Members who have not attended an event in a 12-month period will also be removed, but are encouraged to rejoin as soon as their schedule allows.
