## 🏃♀️ City Run & Brunch – Stockholm Edition
Date: 8 november 2025
Start: 10:00 at Medborgarplatsen Station
Route: Starting at Slussen, we’ll run along the waterfront to Kungsholmen and back, about 6–8 km in total.
After: Brunch or fika together

### What to Wear
Dress for layers — Stockholm weather in autumn can change quickly.
- Running leggings or pants
 - Breathable long-sleeve top
 - Light running jacket, pile jacket or windbreaker – (waterproof is a good idea)
 - Comfortable running shoes – suitable for the wet ground
 - Good to have: Running cap, gloves, or headband

If it’s windy near the water (Kungsholmen can be breezy), a thin windbreaker is perfect.

### What to Bring
I can leave most things safely in a gym locker, I have a gym card and can keep things in a safe locker inside SATS SOFO before we take off:
- A bag and a lock (if you will store your things in a locker)
 - Water bottle
 - Small towel (if needed)
 - Change of top or clothes if you plan to stay for brunch
 - Phone or smartwatch

Optional extras:
- Running belt or arm pocket if you want to bring your phone/keys on the run
 - Earphones if you like running with music (though group runs can be more fun chatting!)

***
### Before the Run
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to warm up, stretch and store your belongings.
 - We’ll start running around 10:20 sharp.

***
### After the Run – Brunch/Fika
We’ll gather for brunch or fika right after, those who wanna head to Stockholms Mosque before or after the brunch for Dhuhr prayer are welcome to join me.
Some great nearby food spots include:
- Vete Katten - cozy cafe in Götgatan
 - Bröd and Salt & Café – cozy with indoor seating and good brunch options
 - Jerusalem Kebab (Halal lunch)

### Extra Tips
- We check the weather forecast the night before and update the event here and try to avoid the rain.
 - Avoid heavy breakfast before running; eat or drink something light like a banana or smoothie.
 - If you’re new to running don't worry, we all run at the same slow pace, the goal is fun and community, not speed. Bring a friend or a family member, everyone is welcome.
