Will try doing an ASL Meetup at 5 pm on Saturday, Feb 21 at Angel's Mexican Restaurant in Sumter.
This is intended to be a social interaction and a place for people who already know ASL or are learning to meet others who sign and mostly socialize and get some practice signing in a social setting.
Please RSVP if you are going to come out. If I don't get any positive RSVPs prior to the meetup date, I will cancell the meetup. Since this would be a first for this group, I'm expecting this to be kind of slow going to get started but it only takes one other person beside myself for this to be a successful meet up for me.
My own ASL skills are competent but hardly fluent. If anybody would like to discuss their own skills or expectations for this group, feel free to post someting on the group's meetup site.
