EVENT IS FULL!

The photo is Sept. 1997. The Chew family spends 8 nights in that tent at the Mt. Pisgah Campground. It was the first of what would be many family camping trips over the next decade or so.
In 2011 I went back by myself, and have since camped at Pisgah Campground no less than a half dozen times, usually staying 5-6 nights, day hiking, with some backpacking as well.I plan to be there on the approximate dates posted. It may be more, may be less. I will be doing day hikes while I am up there. I have told hiking friends of these Pisgah trips over the years, Some ask if I would entertain hosting some type of group event. As a Floridian goes, I have a reasonable layman's knowledge of this particular area.
Right now, I have a small handful of folks planning on attending but would be willing to have a few capable others join us. This is going to be for those with recent mountain hiking experience under their belt. Folks who have hiked the Foothills or Appalachian Trails would be candidates.
I won't be arranging for any group accommodations. You will be pretty much on your own for all else. Some may not want to stay at this campground.
Assume most hikes to be stenuous to very strenuous. You can message me via Meetup Messenger if you have any questions.Mt. Pisgah Campground
