**What**🌴 6 Mile Walkabout into the Woods🦌Myakka River State Park🐊 starting Ranch House Rd. Entrance.

**When** Sunday October 26 meet at 8:am - 12:30pm

**Where**I will be at the south entrance at 7:45 am to be the 1st cars in.

You must be an experienced hiker, who can hike 6 miles, more or less, at a relaxed pace but moving before the heat rolls in.

We will meet at the RIGHT PARKING LOT after the Ranger Station at
8:00am. I will have a YELLOW HARD HAT on the hood of my car.

If you don't see me with a YELLOW HARD HAT on my car, I have left to drive up to Ranch House R. entrance. Maybe you can catch up.
From there we'll hike down the Beautifull Canopy Ranch House Rd up to the Red Trail and into the woods we go.

Entrance fee to Myakka River State Park is $4.00 for 1 person and $6.00 for 2 people or more. You can prepay online: Florida State Park day pass

The hike is about 6 miles more or less into the beautiful woods. Your feet may get wet and muddy. If you are in a hurry to get this event over with or have someplace to go, this event may not be for you.

What to bring: Whistle, walking stick, lots of water, snack or lunch. If you are one of those people that bugs like, you know what to bring.
Long pants are recommended and maybe and a dry bag for your key and phone.

Please NO pets 🐊, children🐊, music or smoking🚭. Please reframe from talking about Religion or Politics.
