Multi-level (3, 5, 7, 10 mile) Evening Hike on the Newport Back Bay

ABOUT THE HIKE: This is a beautiful 10 mile (or less) hike around the upper Newport Bay - intermediate level and up. This hike features minimal elevation gain, awesome views and paved trails. Fit dogs welcome! This 200 million year old estuary is home to over 200 species of birds. Get away mid week and cool off! You may also hike 3, 5, or 7 miles as an alternative.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From the 73 freeway, take the Irvine Blvd exit heading toward the coast. Turn left on University; there is parking on the street or the parking lot located on this corner. We meet at the trail head closest to the parking lot entrance @ the picnic table.
