Hike & Thanksgiving Bonfire

Back by popular demand... Let's celebrate Thanksgiving together: ) Old friends, new friends, surf and sand, sunset, music, dancing, stories, etc.

We'll hike up the beach either by the water or on the bikepath, past dog beach, and come back. Approximately 6 miles. Suitable for beginners to intermediate hikers. Please read this entire post and pay particular attention to "HOW TO FIND US" under the map.

After our workout, we'll make a fire and can get our towels, chairs, jackets and food (individual) to enjoy by the open fire. This event is designed for you to join in anytime during since you may have other things to do. Or, join for the duration and just kick back: ) We should be finished hiking by about 4:00 and have the fire going by about 4:30. You may just wanna come by for some smores!! to say hello and share thanks, fellowship, cheer, sunset...

Bring your own feast AND an item to share if desired. Also some wood is appreciated/needed. If you are, please post in notes so others will know. I will bring hot chocolate and some wood. Until then...Happy Thanksgiving!

You might bring trail runners, socks, towel, chair, food of choice, hat, drinks of choice like water, etc. And a warm jacket or heavy sweatshirt (gets chilly as sun goes down).

Parking is free 2 blocks away at Chase bank on Beach and Atlanta. Or $2/hr on Beach Blvd. Or $15 in State Beach parking on the beach. Last holiday there wasn't anyone manning the booth and we parked in the state beach lot for free so you might want to check that out before trying other options:)
