Sendero Loop Trails - Ladera Ranch. Adv. Difficulty. 6+ miles

This is a moderate-to-advanced difficult 6.5 mile hike. 1000 feet of elevation gain.

We will meet on Ascenso at Sendero Way, in the parking lot of Sendero's community center and pool, "El Prado". There is on street parking and parking in the lot (discreetly) at that location.

We will ascend 900 feet right away to the top of Ladera's bluff where Covenant Hills area of the Sky Ranch neighborhood is. We will take the Sendero Loop West and veer off on some other paths that will lead to near the Mirabella neighborhood, in SJC, and we will turn around at Stone Ridge Park and return via Sendero Loop East path to our cars.

This is a good 6 miles altogether and with some significant elevation. Poles are suggested and good grippy hiking shoes. LOTS of water, as there is no shade to speak of along the trails. Bring a snack!

***There are no bathrooms along the route so plan accordingly.***

DIRECTIONS: From 5 fwy, exit Ortega Hwy going east for approximately 5 miles. Turn left on Antonio Pkwy for 1/2 mile and turn left onto Sendero Way to the roundabout with Ascenso. Stay right and pull into parking lot or park off street outside of the lot.
