Warner Bayou via De Soto Memorial & Robinson Preserve to Holmes Beach (20 miles)
Details
Join us for a casual bike ride and breakfast on the beach.
Let's meet at Warner Bayou (on the opposite side of the Boat Ramp and restrooms) shortly after sunrise and before 07:00 AM. We will leave on time.
It will be pleasant being outdoors at that time!
Please DO NOT park in designated trailer parking lots!
First, we will ride to De Soto Memorial Park. Once there, we'll take a short but scenic walk that lasts about 15 to 20 minutes.
Our little tour will continue through Robinson Preserve.
Destination will be Holmes Beach where breakfast at Anna Maria Beach Cafe will wait for us!
After our break we will return the same way.
Total distance will be about 20 miles r/t, pace about 10 - 12 mph. We will use back roads and a shared, paved path, means all bikes will be fine.
Please make sure you carry sufficient water (ideally with electrolytes) and protect yourself from the sun. Check your bike before the ride. A bike lock comes in handy.
Fair to assume that the Cafe will be busy at that time. Please do not schedule anything right after the ride as it might take longer than expected.
If you are short on time, you will be on your own.
As always, if you have questions or need directions you can contact us at (917)774-0941.
