Hack & Tell: lightning talks on the tech behind the agtech

Details

Join us for the second Sydney Agritech meetup of 2024. We’re changing things up a little this month and collaborating with More Than Machines for an evening looking at the technology that’s powering our agrifood tech ecosystem.

Building a startup or scaling technology to meet customer's needs is no easy feat. In addition to raising capital, building a team, and searching for product-market fit, there are many technical challenges that need to be overcome on the way to delivering a breakout product.

Fortunately, our ecosystem is filled with talented technologists using interesting and cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems - from tasking drones, to optimising the proess of adding millions of rows of IoT data into databases. At this event, we'll be digging into these technologies, how they are being used, and sharing the learnings gained along the way.

Join us on the 1st of May at 6pm for some networking & lightning talks.

  • 6:00 – 6:30: Networking
  • 6:30 – 7:30: Lightning talks (EOI form here)
  • 7:30 – 8:00: Networking

*Lightning talks are 'anything goes,' 5 minute talks on a technology topic of your choice. They’re great for presenting how you overcame a challenge, a technical milestone, research, or a side project. They're also great for practicing your speaking skills! If you would like to give a talk, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/aEgPcMXUSva5b8iPA

This event will be facilitated by Sarah Nolet, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Tenacious Ventures and https://www.linkedin.com/in/andy2307/Andrew Skinner, Founder and Director of More than Machines.
