We will go around art galleries and stop for coffee and snacks, if you want. You will get a chance to make friends and professional contacts...

"Exploring Woolloomooloo": Murals, Artspace & Wharf
Kings Cross Hotel, 244-248 William Street, Kings Cross, AUNOTE: This event is posted on multiple Meetup groups.
ABOUT: Explore the rich creative scene in Woolloomooloo on Saturday, December 20. This event will introduce you to detailed murals created by activist artists Merilyn Fairskye and Michiel Dolk in 1982 to celebrate the suburb’s people and history.
Enjoy the exhibitions and outdoor art at Artspace—on diverse fascinating themes like AI, imperialism, the inner workings of the self, and mysticism. More outdoor fun later at the wharf—see sculptures installed by ARTPark Australia that facilitates travelling exhibitions across the country.
All welcome to this exciting, educational tour! Come along if art is especially new to you. Don’t forget to exchange numbers with group members and make new friends!
MEETING TIME: 11:10 – 11:30 AM.
MEETING POINT: Meet outside "Kings Cross Hotel", 244-248 William St, Potts Point NSW 2011 (near Kings Cross station).
START AND PROGRAMME: We will begin around 11:30 – 11:40 AM on William Street, reaching the murals after a 10-min walk. This will be followed by visit to Artspace. Later, we will see the large exhibition programme at the wharf.
END: We will end by 2:30 PM near a bus stop. Easy walk back to the train station. You can wait for drinks and snacks and more chatting with group members, if interested.
PRICE OF TOUR: Please pay $20 by cash on arrival.
IMPORTANT:
- Please check transport in advance. Make sure you sleep well the night before, and leave home early enough in the morning so you can reach the meeting point on time.
- Remember to have a good breakfast before arriving which can keep you going during the early afternoon.
- Please message if you are running late.
- Wear comfortable shoes, a hat or cap, sun protection. Please bring a water bottle and an umbrella.
- No additional compulsory costs beyond $20. Drinks and snacks are optional – you may also bring your own.
- Be careful when you explore art galleries. Do not touch surfaces of artworks.
- Photos of the group will be clicked and may be posted on Meetup and the organiser’s social media platforms. Attendees who do not wish to be photographed must inform the organiser before the tour begins.

⌛“Past & Present”: CBD Sculpture Walk - 20+ Fascinating Artworks with Stories 🧭

ABOUT: Enjoy a walk around the artworks of CBD on Sunday, December 21. Come along whatever your professional background! Tech, finance, law, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, retail, fashion - all welcome. Feel at home.
This informative tour will introduce you to statues, fountains, installations and imagery commemorating important figures and events of Australian history. Learn about explorers, statesmen, royalty, women pioneers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicemen, indigenous clans of the region. The First Fleet, the World Wars, the development of Sydney, local bird species, and more!
Introduce yourself to each other, exchange numbers, make new friends, chat as you walk and have fun!

"Surprises in the City": Fountains, Statues & Installations
