Welcome Back CCX Sydney to our Events for 2026 from myself, Lydia, Sylvia and James and we are planning a bumper selection of speakers for the new year. Our First event on February 17th will feature two speakers Raphael Gonzalez and Sophie Greenfield who will both speak to two very unique aspects of User Experience design.

As with a new year we will also be looking to present at new venues and with new sponsors and our February event we will be kindly hosted by our friends at Accenture Song. More details to follow in the new year on the venue location (Barangaroo)

Our First Speaker Raphael Gonzalez will speak to System Thinking in UX Including Using Data and Cognitive Biases to Understand and Improve Conversion. His talk will include: aspects such as Two Minds, One Decision, Designing for Systems, The Slow, Rational Brain, Data as the Bridge Between the Two, Applying Cognitive Biases Intentionally and finally Aligning data, design, and psychology to create experiences that improve UX.
About Raphael
Raphael launched Flowganise in October, and he genuinely haven't seen the time pass. It feels like yesterday that I announced the start of the project with Brieuc Tribouillet. Yet, looking at what we've built in just three months, I'm reminded how much focus, iteration, and collective effort went into every step.

Our Second Speaker Sophie Greenfield from CBA returns to CCX to talk to: Object-oriented UX (OOUX)

Object-oriented UX (OOUX) is a design methodology that encourages designers to think about experience design in terms of objects, their relationships, and their attributes before diving into user flows and interactions.
OOUX has been around for 15 years or so but is a focus again as it can help us manage the complexity of AI enabled experiences.
Sophie will give us a tour of the design process and principles and some case studies on how it works.

About Sophie
UX Designer with a background in UI and multichannel digital production. Currently Senior Product / AI designer working in homebuying.
Previously at CBA within Consumer Finance and X15 Ventures for the Vonto project team (now closed).
What I've been doing over the last few months:
• Undertaking quant and qual based research
• Usability testing, contextual inquiry, focus groups and eSurveys
• Sketching, ideating and concept testing
• Prototype development in Figma and Axure
• Researching and identifying personas and mapping user journeys
• Making client recommendations to improve software and content usability
• Having fun
Therefore don't miss out on a place at our first CCX Sydney event for 2026, as seats will be limited for this session.
