SydDT #90: MELBOURNE Design Thinking Meetup

We're stoked to be bringing SydDT to Melbourne for the first time. Come join us for some fun conversations with interesting people in and around the design community.

We're lucky to have Neha Karira, Berlin Liew, and Louis Granger sharing their experience and perspectives on designing for value. How do we work together to build better digital products and experiences customers love? How do we overcome the challenges and make more confident decisions?

This will be a casual and interactive meetup with a few drinks and nibbles for anyone interested in design thinking. Our meetups are about having fun and enjoying each other’s company while sharing and learning from each other. We start with about 45 minutes of networking before getting into the content.

It's a way to make new friends, stay connected with old friends, and the focus is on bringing the community and ecosystem together.

UX, design, and product teams need more certainty when it comes to making decisions on what to build and how to build it to deliver customer value, and often understanding why customers behave in certain ways is just a matter of opinion.

Join us for a collaborative event where these industry leaders will share their thoughts and experiences on how to work together to build better digital products and experiences customers love.

Berlin Liew
Senior Product Designer, Xero
Berlin is an aspiring design leader, who is passionate about activating ideas, creating meaningful relationships, and making design approachable to anyone at any level. She finds immense joy in designing memorable gatherings to infuse meaning, curious thinking, and deep connections.

Berlin is currently a Senior Product Designer at Xero, working on ways to empower small business customers with efficient, connected and insightful solutions to solve their most pressing needs. Outside of work, she's an active contributor to the design community having recently emceed Design Outlook and co-curated the product design track at Web Directions Summit. She also volunteers as a co-organiser for the Melbourne chapter of Ladies that UX, a group committed to creating an inclusive space for all female-identifying and non-binary folks in Melbourne's design community.

The meetup will be hosted by Ben Pecotich. Ben's a designer, coach, and the co-founder of SydDT. He plays at the place where design, regenerative innovation, and wellbeing meet.
