Building a Graph-Based Asset Model at Ausgrid
Speaker: Laurent Dhondt, One51
Laurent will share how his team implemented a graph-based solution in Databricks using GraphFrames and NetworkX to model the Ausgrid electrical network. By representing assets and their relationships as a graph, they generated new derived assets and improved cost–benefit analysis accuracy across the network. He’ll walk us through the core design, the challenges of complex path traversal in large graphs, and how Spatial SQL was applied to complement the graph logic.

Spatial SQL at Scale: What’s New on Databricks

Rosalie will take a deeper look at Databricks’ Spatial SQL capabilities - from practical use cases to upcoming roadmap features. Expect a live glimpse into how modern spatial processing integrates with analytical workloads to drive broader insights across energy and utilities domains.
