Welcome to Sydney International Culture Meetup!
This group is about International friendships. In the current globalised world it is more important that ever to have friends across cultural and language borders and of all nationalities. This is the group which will help you make them.
This group had stared with a focus on members of Chinese origin but has now outgrown that focus. The refocus will be to become more international. Please join and attend our events, make new friends and practice your languages.

Here you can see everyone from different cultures and races meeting and having a great time and this is what we tend to achieve everytime we host!
Here is how we will do things differently
Ever since Covid has occurred the world has changed ways in how we function and operate.
Meeting people of various cultures has become difficult with various restrictions and with online events people rarely have the opportunity of meeting face to face and this results in not getting the right opportunity to meet in person.
We will always have hosts at all our events. You will always be greeted by someone
at all our events and introduced to others. (Warm & welcoming hosts to help you
mingle!)

We will minimise no shows by requiring attendees to pay a deposit in advance. No
shows are misleading and not fun for organisers nor for members.
We will not disguise organisation costs in opaque ticket prices, commissions from
bars or inflated set menu prices.
We will instead ask for a small charge of a few pounds to help us manage the group and its activities. (Very Transparent)
We will strive to attract a high quality membership who prefer higher quality
venues and events. We will not be driven by happy hours, free food etc...(as all
of these are eventually balanced out by much higher prices later)
We will constantly request members to help us host events and take a lead on
activities so that we have energy and variety.

- If you’re feeling a bit anxious or shy, don’t worry! Feel free to bring along one of your lady friends for free to make it easier to attend. You’ll have company and won’t feel alone, making it easier to relax and enjoy the experience!Here’s how your evening will flow:
7:00 PM – Welcome
Arrive at 7:00 PM and be welcomed by your host, Shelly, who will guide the evening and help with introductions. Feeling shy? Come a little early and she’ll ease you into small-group conversations. You’re also welcome to bring a lady friend along for free.
7:30 – 8:30 PM | Fast Friending
Chat with a new attendee every 3 minutes, ensuring you meet a variety of like-minded ladies and gentlemen.
After 8:30 PM | Open Mingling
Reconnect with those you enjoyed speaking to and continue meaningful conversations at your own paceOur venue for the evening - 3 wise monkeys is spacious, has comfortable seating and not very noisy. We have a reserved area where our members can meet each other in a supportive environment.
- We are not a close knit tight group. Our evenings are warm and comfortable for members attending for the first time and those coming alone. You will not feel alone!
- We have many groups in this city. Members of our other groups who RSVP are included as guests of the organisers in order to give you an indication of expected people.
- This evening is for ladies and gents in the 21 to 40 age group. While some will be at the younger end of this range there will also be others at the other end of the range and lots in-between!
- We are not a dating group. Our events are not organised to manage your dating life. Our group is created to help ladies and gents meet other like minded ladies and gents. Please do not attend our event if a perfect gender balance is important for your enjoyment of our meet-up.

- Cover our costs - Our host is compensated for their time and work. We also pay meetup and have dedicated staff to manage our events, hosts, venues and communication.
- Group Safety - By securing your ticket we have a record and you contribute to a well organized evening where everyone is more committed and better behaved.
- Management - Tickets help us better manage attendee group size, book suitable space and activity.
