Details

This is a great exercise walk with plenty of ups and downs, but gradually becoming easier towards the end.
We meet at Hornsby Station at 9:00 am and walk less than 15 min to the bush entry. Down the stairs, along the fire trail, bush track and we find ourselves at the Fishponds, then at the Spa where we meet our first climb.
9 km into our walk we are back to suburban streets but this time in Thornleigh. We cross Pennant Hills Rd and make our way to Thornleigh Oval where we stop for our lunch break.
After the break we enter the bush and almost immediately leave the usual route.
There is a track leading to the Pennant Hills sporting fields, we take a fire trail from there and later turn right into small track and make our way down to Devlins Creek where we have an easy walk to Epping.
The plan is to complete the walk by no later than 4:30pm, with a tasty beer (or any other cold drink) at The Epping Hotel.
