The 2024 theme is ***Connections***, which will celebrate the rich and diverse stories of our nation, strengthen cultural and historical ties and encourage the community to forge new bonds.

GETTING THERE
We are aiming to car pool from areas where we live. Drive and park at Tahmoor Station and catch the FREE shuttle bus to the Museum. Details will be worked out later once the shuttle bus timetable is released.

EVENT PROGRAM for SUNDAY 19TH MAY
STEAM TRAIN RIDES
Enjoy a 40-minute steam train ride along the Loop Line from historic Thirlmere Station. Ride behind a [variety of locomotives](https://thirlmerefestivalofsteam.solweb.com.au/event-information/locomotives/?stage=Stage) across the weekend. Steam train rides depart Thirlmere Station throughout the day.
MARKET STALLS
Wander through the streets of beautiful Thirlmere Village and browse all the artisan wares on offer.
NSW RAIL MUSEUM
The NSW Rail Museum comes to life with an array of steam, including several historic steam locomotives, live model steam engines, full-size and miniature steam traction engines and a display of vintage machinery.
LIVE PERFORMANCES
From 9am - 4pm, come along to the stage area and watch a variety of live performances from some amazing local community groups and performers.
STREET PARADE 11.00am Sunday 19 May 2024
The Thirlmere Festival of Steam parade is a key feature and a much-loved element of the Sunday Festival activities. Oaks Street will again become the backdrop for the spectacular float displays and Parade routines, performed by local community groups, schools, and performance groups to create a colourful, vibrant and mobile entertainment display with fantastic prizes to be won.

EVENT FEE
A $5 event fee is payable on the day. Newbies and plus ones all welcome.
