WEDNESDAY RACES FREE COMPETITIVE SAILING - TEACHING GIVEN TO KEEN PEOPLE

Details

MAKE FRIENDS FOR LIFE! MY AIM - ONCE TRAINED, YOU WILL BECOME PART OF MY ON-GOING CREW

Over the many years I have sailed, many new crew members have started on Wednesdays after arriving here and go on join my crew. They sail on weekends and sometimes end up owning their own yachts and even doing their own Sydney to Hobarts. As long as you have a love of all things on the water, on-board training will be given to good people.

FINALLY, I NEED TO POINT OUT A FEW THINGS FOR SAFETY REASONS

  1. Wear clothes suitable for sailing – MOST IMPORTANT – rubber, soft-soled shoes with good grip. NO THONGS OR BARE FEET!
  2. If you have long hair, TIE IT UP
  3. Glasses and hats need to be tied with cord or similar – I’ve seen so many disappear overboard.
  4. If you have sailing or gym gloves, bring them to protect hands from rope burn.
  5. Strong advice - please remove rings from fingers, and super-long nails really hurt when bent or caught.
